Covalida Core

The universal foundation. Covalida Core is where a company's own processes are put in order — the integrated management system that everything else in the portfolio stands on. It is the calmest, most fundamental pillar, and it sets the tone for the whole brand: Compliance at the Core.

Core

Company processes and industry, run as one integrated management system — the baseline every other pillar builds on.

ISO 9001ISO 14001ISO 45001ISO 50001
  • Audit object: management system — ISO/IEC 17021-1
  • Primary audience: COO, QM & Environmental leadership
  • Icon: the gear (process, mechanism, the working core)
  • Role in the portfolio: the universal foundation / integrated management system (IMS)

What it is

Covalida Core certifies how a company runs itself. Where the other pillars address a specific pressure — data, suppliers, products, people — Core addresses the management system underneath all of them: quality, environment, health and safety, and energy, brought together as one integrated management system (IMS) rather than four disconnected binders.

For most organizations this is the entry point. A well-run IMS is what makes every later certification faster and cheaper, because the processes, documentation and audit rhythm already exist. In brand terms, Core is the literal center of "Securing the Core" — the foundation the shield is built to protect.

The standards

Covalida Core covers the four classic ISO management-system standards. Each answers one question about how the company operates.

  • ISO 9001 — Quality. The baseline management-system standard: consistent processes, clear responsibilities, and continual improvement so quality is repeatable, not accidental.
  • ISO 14001 — Environment. Manages a company's environmental impact — resource use, emissions and waste — through a structured, measurable system.
  • ISO 45001 — Occupational health & safety. Protects people at work by managing safety risks systematically rather than reacting to incidents.
  • ISO 50001 — Energy. Governs energy performance — consumption, efficiency and reduction — as a managed, monitored discipline.

Why "integrated"

These four share the same high-level structure, so they are best run as one system with one set of processes and one audit rhythm — not four parallel projects. Covalida Core is positioned around that integration: less duplication, one source of truth, a single management review.

Audit object

The audit object for Covalida Core is the management system, assessed under ISO/IEC 17021-1 — the norm that governs bodies auditing and certifying management systems. This is the same audit-object family as Covalida Tech & Trust; both certify systems rather than products or people. The mapping between audit objects and norms is explained on the Accreditation & Trust page.

Audience

Design Covalida Core material for operational leadership:

  • COO — owns how the company runs end to end.
  • Quality management (QM) leadership — owns ISO 9001 and the process backbone.
  • Environmental & energy leadership — owns ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
  • Health & safety leadership — owns ISO 45001.

The tone is confident and unhurried. These readers know their standards; they are looking for a partner who reduces friction and integrates the pieces, not for alarm or jargon.

The lockup

Write the pillar as the soft lockup Covalida Core — "Covalida" as the calm lead, "Core" as the emphasis, both set in Montserrat. No separate logo, no boxed badge; the domain meaning is carried by the gear icon and the words.

  • Correct: Covalida Core
  • Avoid: "Core by Covalida", "Covalida CORE™", "CoreCert", or the gear icon recolored into a stand-alone mark.

Keep the shared teal palette — Covalida Core does not get its own brand color. See the full lockup rules and the other four pillars on the Brand Architecture overview.

Standards chips

When you need a compact standards strip for a slide, card or header, use the chip treatment shown in the At-a-glance card above:

  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 14001
  • ISO 45001
  • ISO 50001

Do not overclaim

COVALIDA is in the concept phase and is not accredited yet. Present these standards as the domains Covalida Core is built to certify — never state or imply that certificates are already being issued or that accreditation is in place.
